Owing to the high growth and recent expansions, the CSE department felt the acute need for newer space. The department has recently moved to a new building (made possible with a generous donation from Mr. Subramonian Shankar). In the new building, we aim to set up a modern classroom to cater to the department's teaching needs for the next several years. We already have identified a space for a modern classroom that can accommodate more than 120 participants. We are seeking to raise funds for equipping the classroom.
Having a modern classroom is an essential requirement in an academic department. We want a classroom that can cater to both physical and virtual (online) attendees. The room must have an audio/visual setup to make the presentations and interactions seamless and clutter-free. The classroom should have proper acoustics (even and precise sound distribution) and be soundproof (to not disturb the neighbouring labs). Having a projection screen with multi-touch features would be a great futuristic option. The room should be wire/clutter-free: for connecting to the projectors and mics, for high-speed internet, for video conferencing, and so on. We hope that we will secure the support of our generous alumni to set up this modern classroom.
