Thank you for your interest in giving to IIT Madras. You could explore a cause/ project that resonates with you, at this link. You could also alternatively, sign up for our GEM initiative wherein you could make a contribution every month or contribute through your batch.

3. What are the tax benefits of donating to IIT Madras?
For donations in India: all contributions to IIT Madras are 100% exempt without limit, under section 80G.
If you are a U.S. resident, your donation may be tax deductible, according to applicable law.
4. I would like to make a legacy gift, in honour/ in memory of a loved one. How can I proceed?

5. How soon can I expect a receipt after donation?
For donations made in India, an 80G receipt will be dispatched to you - the soft copy will be emailed to you within the next 5-7 working days from donation date. For any receipt-related enquiries, please mail us at jog-support@ia.iitm.ac.in.
6. How does one get featured on the donor wall of fame?
Any individual's contribution that is upwards of five lakh rupees and above, is featured on the donor wall of fame. The Donor wall of fame features both IITM alumni as well as the non-alumni patrons of the institute.
7. If I donate to my batch reunion, will I still feature on the donor wall?
Yes, for individual contributions made upwards of five lakh rupees towards the batch reunion, we would be happy to allocate the fund to the batch cause and the individual donor will also be featured on the donor wall of fame.
