Support Deserving IITM Students
A laptop is no longer a luxury—it's a necessity for students pursuing their education at IIT Madras. These bright minds, having worked tirelessly to crack the challenging JEE entrance exam, come from families with limited financial means.
While scholarships and other assistance help cover tuition and living expenses, students from families with an annual parental income below ₹1 lakh still need immediate support to purchase laptops. Each laptop costs approximately ₹45,000 and will be a vital tool for their education over the next four years.
Currently, more than 400 students fall into this category, with 105 students from families earning below ₹50,000 annually being our top priority.
