Description
The Visweswaraya seminar hall (VSH) has been used for various functions of the CE department and by the students for the activities of the Civil Engineering Association (CEA). The VSH has a capacity of about 100. Even though the student strength has increased over the years, infrastructure within the CE department has not been enhanced proportionately. We do not have a seminar hall that can accommodate 200 people; this has been a major hindrance to the activities of the department. To overcome this limitation, the department has created a space in the second floor of BSB (Building Sciences Block) for creating a new seminar hall. About Rs. One crore is required for refurbishing this hall to create a seminar hall. Alumni funding is sought for this purpose.
