About the cause
Dr. Sundararajan T is a Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IITM. He got his Bachelors from IITM in the year 1978, and later got his Masters and Ph.D. from University of Pennsylvania. His areas of research lie in Heat Transfer, Spray Combustion, Reacting Jets, and CFD. He has been a guide to more than 25 students for their Ph.D. and M.S. He worked with various sponsored projects and two industrial projects namely, Testing and Calibration of Rotameters Indo Matsushita Carbon Co. Ltd and Fluid Mechanical Modeling of Liquid Metal Flow in a Cavity Neilsoft Limited. He has published around 75 citations in both Indian and internationally renowned journals.
This appeal is to raise funds for setting up a Chair and Endowment Lecture Series to honour Dr. Sundararajan T.

How the money will be used
The endowment returns will be deployed towards operational expenses associated with the Chair and Endowment Lecture Series.
