Description
Studying at Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a dream for many students. Among these meritorious young minds are some who require financial support to pursue their education—the only criterion for opportunity should be merit, nothing else.
Non-HTTA M.Tech students, however, do not receive the regular assistantship support available to HTTA scholars, nor do they receive government financial assistance. They are required to pay ₹40,000 per semester towards tuition and other fees amounting to ₹80,000 annually.
For many deserving students, this financial commitment can become a significant burden. Scholarships and donor support therefore play a vital role in ensuring that at IIT Madras, merit remains the only barrier to opportunity.
