Every year, some of the brightest young minds enter the M.A. programmes at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, having demonstrated exceptional academic ability. These students arrive with promise, ambition, and the potential to contribute meaningfully to society.
To recognise and nurture this excellence, we are instituting a Merit Scholarship of ₹40,000 per semester for M.A. students.
Key Features of the Scholarship:
- ₹40,000 per semester per student.
- Available for up to 100 students.
- Awarded to the top ‘n’ students based on GATE ranks
- Continuation subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 6.5 at the end of every even semester
This scholarship is designed not only to reward merit at entry but also to encourage sustained academic performance throughout the programme.
