VR Fund Project at Heritage Centre

Description

Why are we asking:

To upgrade the Heritage Centre experience and make it more versatile through a virtual medium. Doing this, we can create an interactive and fun experience for the visitors. Content can include 360 degree view of the lake and other inaccessible parts of the campus. We can boost our visitor count by creating an up-to-date VR-enabled museum.

To fund:

Oculus devices (VR headsets)

What IITM gets out of it:

• An improved, state-of-the-art museum with all the latest facilities and glamour.
• A boost in national and global ratings.
• Make a positive impression on visitors and VIPs
• It would provide a better platform to showcase the vast body of materials that we have.
• It would get more people talking about the Institute.

What the donor can receive in return:

• The videos/material will mention the names of the donors.
• The VR set could have the donor’s name imprinted on it in a prominent place.

• If there is to be a VR booth, the booth will be named after the donor. There will be a well-designed plaque mentioning the donor’s name.
