About the Cause
As we all know the important role of sports in our education and here at IIT Madras, we have a rich sporting environment, enabling us to develop in other aspects as well.
Every year all IITs participate in the inter-IIT Sports meet, which is a prestigious event in the student life of IIT students.
In order to prepare the final team to participate in the inter-IIT, we select 24(Men, Women) people this year as per the guidelines given by the board of members from all IITs. The selected players need proper equipment and conditions to train themselves to become competitive at the inter-IIT level. Since Gymkhana funds are for specific purposes and are not available for a few other essentials needs of the players hence every year we make our efforts to get the funds (which we cannot obtain from the Gymkhana) for the essential (Shoes, Sleeves, etc.) which team uses during rigorous practice sessions. This year, On behalf of the Volleyball team(Men, Women) I request Alumni to sponsor the team Shoes and help the team to prepare for inter-IIT 2022.
The IIT Madras Volleyball team will always be grateful to Alumni for this Sponsorship.
How the money will be used:
The money will be used to buy Non-marking-shoes for the IITM Volleyball team.
