KG VENKATASUBRAMANIAN Endowment - Batch of 1992

Description

About the cause:

This endowment is created in memory of our beloved batchmate KG VENKATASUBRAMANIAN who left us at a very young age of 22 years in a tragic accident. Fondly known as KGB, was from Computer Science engineering and stayed at Jamuna (first year) and Mandakini (next three years) hostels at IITM.

Being from a smaller town (Harihar, Karnataka) did nothing to diminish his character and enthusiasm (and probably enhanced it). He was a delightful friend and inspiration to all of his hostel mates and many in his batch. His buttoned down look (including the top collar button) seemed ready to face any challenge, any time, anywhere. He spent hours in the computer labs coding for many of his projects -- he was usually the "designated coder" in the team. He was a great fan of Hindi movie songs of the golden era, helping transcribe many of the lyrics as part of a volunteer effort when he came to the US.

We as a batch wish to create an endowment in his name at IITM to keep his memory alive.

We request you to contribute generously to this cause.

How the money will be used:

The endowment will be used for a common cause agreed by the batch.
