Far from the soil of Odisha, the Utkal Association at IIT Madras is a space where memories, culture, and a sense of belonging gently converge. What began as a small group of students longing for home has blossomed into a close-knit family of over 500 students, alumni, faculty, and well-wishers who carry the spirit of Odisha with them wherever they go.
We commemorate a range of cultural occasions, keeping our traditions vibrant even across distances. At the heart of our celebrations is the annual Utkal Divas function, which draws more than 1,000 attendees and stands as one of the most dynamic and cherished cultural gatherings on campus.
