Help, Humility and High Thinking
There are two experiences from my time at IIT Madras that had a profound impact on my entrepreneurial journey.
One is that I was a Hindi medium student before I landed at IIT Madras and struggled massively with English for the first year. But the way, the ecosystem (professors, wing mates, literature available) supported me in learning the language was phenomenal and I often draw from my own experience when today, Internshala users (most of whom are college students) reach out to me with their struggle with English (a more detailed story here - https://blog.internshala.com/2016/10/my-struggle-with-english-language-and-how-i-mastered-it/)
The second is the lesson in humility - when I saw my peers and professors living such a simple life despite being so knowledgeable and Gods of their domain, I truly learned the meaning of 'simple living and high thinking' and that the more you know, the more you know about how less you know! I consciously try to imbibe this in my day-to-day life and this has become a cornerstone culture value at Internshala.
