Empowering the Next Generation of Mathematicians - ADMA-ICDM

Description

The Department of Mathematics at IIT Madras is proud to host the 22nd Annual International Conference on Discrete Mathematics of Academy of Discrete Mathematics and Applications  (ADMA–ICDM 2026) from June 7–10, 2026 where many top mathematicians from Abroad and India are presenting their work.  We are seeking alumni support to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent deserving research scholars and young faculty from participating in this premier global forum. Your contribution will directly fund travel grants, registration waivers, and essential conference resources for participants from resource-constrained institutions.

The Vision: Discrete Mathematics is the silent engine driving today’s most critical technologies from the algorithms powering Computer Science to the network theories essential to Electrical Engineering. ADMA–ICDM 2026 will bring together global experts and budding researchers to discuss breakthroughs in graph theory, combinatorics, and their applications.

However, many of the most promising minds in these fields belong to smaller institutions across India and abroad with limited funding for international-standard conferences. Our goal is to ensure that IIT Madras remains an inclusive hub where merit, not budget, determines participation.

Why Your Support Matters: Your contribution will be channeled into a dedicated Conference Access Fund, covering:
  • Travel Grants: Enabling talented scholars from across India to reach Chennai.
  • Registration Waivers: Removing the entry barrier for students and faculty without institutional backing.
  • Local Hospitality: Providing on-campus accommodation and meals, allowing participants to focus entirely on learning and networking.
  • Conference Kits:Providing the necessary materials for a productive four-day technical program.

An Appeal to Our Alumni (Math, CS, and EE): As alumni, you understand the transformative power of the IIT Madras ecosystem. You know that a single conversation at a conference can spark a career-defining research project or a breakthrough in a complex algorithm.

By supporting ADMA–ICDM 2026, you aren't just funding an event; you are investing in the intellectual capital of the country. For CS and EE alumni, this is an opportunity to give back to the foundational mathematical disciplines that underpin your professional success. For Math alumni, it is a way to strengthen the department's legacy as a leader in  the area.

Impact of Your Donation:
  • ₹4,500 can cover the registration fee for one research scholar.
  • ₹15,000 can provide local hospitality and a registration waiver for a regional faculty member.
  • ₹20,000 can give comprehensive support to one participant.

Join us in making ADMA–ICDM 2026 a landmark event for the global mathematics community. Every contribution, big or small, helps us support deserving young mathematicians.
