Teachers’ Day 2024
Teachers are the guiding lights who shape the paths of their students, inspire dreams, and help them reach their full potential. Their influence stretches beyond classrooms, planting the seeds of curiosity, resilience, and integrity that guide students throughout their lives. On Teachers’ Day, it is essential to pause and honor the tireless dedication of teachers who invest not only in the education of their students but also in their growth as individuals.
For IIT Madras alumni, this day holds even deeper significance. The journey through IIT is renowned for its rigor, challenges, and intensity. At the heart of this journey are the professors, the pillars of support who guide students through complex concepts, encourage critical thinking, and instill the confidence to take on the world. Whether it was a professor who stayed late to explain a difficult concept, a mentor who offered career advice, or a lecturer whose passion ignited a lifelong love for learning, these memories remain vivid. For many, these teachers were the catalysts who helped turn ambition into achievement.
On this Teachers' Day, the IIT alumni and student community come together to express their heartfelt gratitude for the educators who made a lasting impact on their lives and careers. It is a celebration of the teachers who, with their wisdom and dedication, helped shape not just individual futures but the collective legacy of innovation and leadership that IIT stands for.

He tells the concepts in a good manner. He taught me how to do research and how to teach. I follow some of his patterns while I am teaching. If I have gained anything in my life(after my B.Tech), that is because of his guidance. After all he is a good human being by running a good organization that will be helpful for people in societies.
