Robo Wars is one of India’s most intense and celebrated combat robotics competitions, where machines battle in an arena of innovation, strength, and strategy. We are organizing the next edition at IIT Madras, aiming to make it bigger, bolder, and truly global by bringing in top international teams and elevating the competition standard.
Current Progress and why we need your support
Following the resounding success of last year's event, where we hosted international teams for the first time, the student-led team behind Shaastra 2026, the annual technical festival of IIT Madras, is poised to elevate its signature competition, Robowars, to unprecedented international heights.
We are gearing up for Shaastra 2027, and our ambitions have never been higher. We are working towards a significantly upgraded arena, a larger prize pool to attract the best teams internationally, and a dedicated workshop support station for participating teams.
To make it even greater success ,we are turning to our alumni community-the very heart of this legacy. Your contribution will help us elevate this event to international standards. Your generous contributions will help us take Robowars 2027 to the next level. The funds will be utilized for the following:
- Support for international teams - Transportation, Accommodation etc.
- Arena Construction & Safety Infrastructure - Much better arena than just a box to raise the stakes.
- Prize pool & Trophies - Increasing prize pool to attract better international and indigenous teams and raise the competition standards.
- Better Audience experience - Better live streaming facilities, engagement shows and activities at the arena.
